CARNIVAL PARADE 2014

On Thursday, February 27th 2014 we celebrated the Carnival Parade in our school "C.P. Julián Besteiro".
El jueves 27 de febrero de 2014 celebramos el desfile de Carnaval en nuestra escuela "C.P. Julián Besteiro".

It was simply the BEST ever!! We enjoyed it and learnt very much!!

¡¡Simplemente ha sido el MEJOR¡ !Lo disfrutamos y aprendimos mucho!! 

This year, we all worked on civilitations throughout our History. Nowadays, we are studying and learning a lot of World History in Spanish lessons.
Este año, todos nosotros hemos trabajado sobre las civilizaciones a lo largo de nuestra Historia. Estos días estamos estudiando y aprendiendo mucho sobre la Historia Mundial en las clases de español.



In the Carnival Parade we played the role of human being in the Prehistoric Age, Egyptian Civilization, Imperial Kingdom of Romans, Chinese Millenary Civilization, Olympic Greek Civilization, Medieval Age, Modern Age and, finally, Contemporary Age.

En el desfile del Carnaval hemos actuado sobre el papel del hombre en la Edad Prehistórica, la Civilización Egipcia, el Imperio Romano, Civilización Milenaria China, la Civilización Olímpica Griega, la Edad Medieval, la Edad Moderna y, finalmente, la Edad Contemporánea.

Our disguises were related to Modern Age. It was very difficult to distinguish just one idea that comprises this huge Age. So that, we decided to introduce information related to:

1. Discovery of America (beginning of Modern Age). With Christopher Columbus and his sailors.
2. Leonardo DaVinci (Renaissance of Arts). With the artist himself and Mona Lisas.
3. Scientific Studies, Inventions and Theories. With Johannes Gutenberg (printing machine), Galileo Galilei (Theories for the Universe), Sir Isaac Newton (Theories of Movements)
4. French Revolution (ending of Modern Age). With French Court, Middle class, peasants and soldiers.
